AI-powered code review for Launchpad merge proposals

Setup

  1. Sign in with Launchpad
    Sign in with the account that can edit your repository.
  2. Connect your AI provider
    In Settings, connect OpenRouter and choose the model that reviews your merge proposals.
  3. Add your repository
    In Repositories, add the repository your merge proposals target, for example ~launchpad-committers/mobot/+git/mobot. Mobot adds its webhook for you. You need edit rights on the repository.
  4. Request a review
    Post @mobot scan on a merge proposal to that repository.

Commands

Post a comment on a merge proposal to interact with Mobot.

@mobot scan

Starts an AI code review. Mobot acknowledges the request with a progress link, then posts the verdict and inline feedback in a separate comment. Progress links expire after 30 days.

@mobot abstain

Removes Mobot's vote from the merge proposal.

Sign in with Launchpad to browse your review and abstention history. Runs stay listed after their status links expire.

How it works

  1. Webhook received Launchpad sends a merge proposal event to Mobot.
  2. Diff fetched Mobot retrieves the code diff from Launchpad.
  3. AI review An eligible model analyses the diff and generates feedback.
  4. Comments posted Inline and summary comments are posted back to the proposal.
